Kuaka birds

Today in my class we these Kuaka the explorer discovery piece. First we downloaded the image then change the back round and add the places we have been our wanted to go. I really enjoyed fingering out the place I wanted to go and where I have been. The most challenging thing was picking a back round that I liked. this was a really fun activity and I would loved to do it again.

This week in my class we have been doing descriptive language and turning them into poems about pictures. I really enjoyed writing the poem. The most challenging thing was the describing words that we had to do first. 

Rocks	Mossy	Sleep	Gently
Water fall	Running	slowly	Drifts
Trees	Messy	Sit	Silently
Log	Old	Lays	Quietly
Mist	Cold	Relaxing	Peacefully

The mossy rocks sleep gently 

The waterfall runs slowly drifting down the rocks 

The messy trees sit silently waiting for winter to come 

The old log lies quietly... ageing.

The cold mist relaxes peacefully...

My poem

The soft short green grass sways swiftly in the wind 

The blue crystal water crashes ruffly into the rocks

The old broken trees stand sad but the fresh new ones stand loud and proud

The fluffy white clouds slowly drift away 

The tall rocky mountain stands still like a wall 

 The dark colourful cow’s moo and chew all day long

The muddy slip drips quickly down to the ground 

My holidays

My Holidays 

My cousin and I awoke as the bright sunshine shone through the pastel

curtains. It was late in the morning and it was time to get up and ready. Keira had to get ready for hip hop. We headed into town and drop her of. My little cousin and her friend were so excited to go to the movies. We had finally got there and we were starving. We had got our buttery popcorn and our large drinks and now we were ready for the movie. We walked into cinema 5 and it was jam packed. We struggled to find some seats. About ten minutes later toy story four had began. 

The movie was over and we just finished our food in time and then

walked swiftly over to Pizza Hut and ordered some pizza. We drove back to there house and played on Milley’s gym equipment and ate some pizza. Two long hours had passed and it was 4 o’clock. We were back on our way into town. We had arrived and they were 5 minutes from finishing and we got to watch them.

Finally we had finished our long day and now it was time for a

spa. We gently hop in to the boiling water. We just talk the whole time. Then we quickly ran over to the trampoline and decided to do some tricks. Then about in hour later we had to go inside and get ready for bed. Me and my cousin were up playing games till one in the morning. Then we decided to go to sleep.   

Jandal Art

In term two my class and I have been creating Jandal art. The things that we painted on our Jandals had to be something about you.  This is how we did it. So first we had to pick a design and do on a piece of paper. Next our teacher had cut out some wooden jandals and had given us two Jandals each and then we set all the paints up on a table. At a table at a time our teacher called us up to come and paint our Jandals but first we had to have our designs draw with a pencil on top of the Jandals. Then we were aloud to paint. then we let them sit an dry then over night. I very enjoy painting my Jandals and using different colours. The most challengeing thing was picking a design to do. overall it was one of my favrout art things i have ever done.

This is my Jandals. The one on the left is the rugby club that I play for on Saturday sport. The next one is how I love the beach and how I love spending time there with my family

New Zealand poem

The week in my class we had done some free

writing.

I was trying to put rich language in it. I have

written about New Zealand and the cool things

about Aotearoa. I enjoy writing poems and

adding descriptive language to make it

interesting for the reader. I hope you can leave

some comments to help me with my skills and

what I need to work on.  

New Zealand

On a hot summer's day we feel the yummy tip top ice cream dripping away

You can hear the big loud waves crash down onto the sea shore

You can cheer our team on the field all night long  

You can rock down the street wearing jandals on your feet

You can visit the giant L&P bottle any time of the day

The big wide sea is full of yummy food you can eat

The little buzzy bee is all your little boy can dream

As you pass through the bush and see the native birds you wont really see

The long farm paddocks is all you can imagine with like 300 sheeps

Pohutukawa trees are your New Zealand christmas tree

Cooking stuff on the BBQ are nothing you have eaten before

You see ferns every wear but under you never know if its silver or not

There is nothing like a big kiwi breakfast

You can just about put the best tomato sauce on everything

You can snack on the best chips if you buy blue bird

There is nothing better than fish and chips at the beach

Kiwi fruit is the best fruit to have throughout the day

You can enjoy a little pineapple lumps any day of the year

Another thing you can have for dinner is a yum hangi in the winter

The little kiwi bird is never really to be found

You can get muddy with your gumboots and stomp on the ground

The shop to go to is probably just down the rode in most towns
